I am a student studying graphic design and I'm creating a resume. In "business experience" must include work that is considered not applicable to the field?
Absolutely. As Chris R above, the objective is to identify transferable skills and communicate their positions "unrelated". As a graphic designer, your job is to translate ideas high level of customer assurance, creative, etc, which provides real business value. I think something that set you apart in a field "creative" would be to demonstrate you have a clear idea of how their work impacts the company. Highlight times when the services you provided direct support of the organization and strategies customer growth. Talk with specific indicators and quantified achievements when possible (increased Internet traffic, expanded market share ... you get the idea). This will certainly help make it stand out in a group of candidates with similar qualifications. Good luck to you in your job search!
