submit a Form W-9, even if I can get a more consistent job on the line?
I am a recent graduate and non-contract design work graph. Companies that worked for me file a Form W-9, to show that no work for them. If I get a job on the line, comes the time Tax'll file a W-9 or W-2? or both? I have read if less than $ 400 together owe me nothing under the W-9. But I am also concerned about the 15.3% SE tax in general.
The W-9 is to inform the person you are working so their Social Security number. Please return, the payer has to get 28% additional retention of what is owed. If you were an employee, a Form W-4 that have the same purpose.
